This course is tailored for Directors of Housekeeping, Executive Housekeepers, Assistant Mangers, Senior Supervisors, Rooms Division Managers and Front Office Managers looking for career development to Rooms Division.
Participants should have relevant supervisory or management experience in the housekeeping and/or rooms division.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course will cover a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge that would equip professional housekeepers for the challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of the industry in areas such as sustainability practices, emerging technologies in housekeeping, business and entrepreneurship skills, housekeeping operations, staff training and development and leadership skills.

Calculate carbon footprint of a hotel stay
Understand the role of sustainability in housekeeping operations.
Highlight trends in sustainability management in Housekeeping operations
Identify areas for application and/or improvement of sustainability practices
Design an implementation strategy to achieve the organisation’s green management goals
Communicate sustainability strategies to stakeholders through a winning presentation
Engage colleagues in regular dialogues on industry sustainability practices to promote individual participation
